OK, got the bike back Saturday afternoon, float valve was the culprit. Took it for a 100 mile blast it's all good, I am relieved it's sorted. 3 weeks without a bike is 3 weeks to long. I dont know how much the repairs cost as the garage haven't sorted the bill out yet. Will let you know soon as I know.

OK thanks for that idea, I took the petrol tank off, a mate came round and had a look. A mate who's got 17 motorbikes in his garage! Basically said exactly what you guy's said and also pointed out that petrol may have gone into the oil, we took off the oil cap and sure enough the oil smells of petrol so oil and filter change as well. Conclusion, sure we could do the work in my garage apart from the synchronisation but it's gonna get messy, so it's off to the bike shop for the repaires.

I dont care how much it costs, I want my bike back!!

If the road is beautiful, let us not ask where it leads....

Ok, thanks for responding guys, I will take the reservoir off this afternoon and have a look. There are 4 carburettors on this so trail and error I guess. Will let you know what happens as I haven't seen other posts about this problem.

Hi people, my trustee fazer fzs 600 '03' conked out then restarted, I sped home at 80 mph, it felt funny at low speed like it was only firing on three cylinders but I cant be sure. I stuck it in the garage made dinner, came back out to fire it up and it wont start. It turns over ok but wont fire up, like theres no petrol getting through and now there a big puddle of petrol on the garage floor. It'scoming out of the rubber pipe on to the center stand. Any ideas anyone?

Really greatful for any tips as I am very crap at mechanics but also very poor, the only time I'm really happy is on my bike. Damn! sob sob sob..... :'( :'(
