FZS600 / Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
« on: 17 February 2018, 11:45:07 am »
I've used this for years with very good results. Good question about how much to apply; I usually reapply roughly every 200 miles and keep the chain fairly clean. For mainly dry use, with regular application I have had very good results on chain wear and it doesn't sling goop all over the place.

The one downside (IMHO) is that I don't think it lasts very well in the wet so usually apply after every wet ride. You can tell I don't commute anymore!

FZS600 Fazer / Replacement front footpegs
« on: 18 June 2016, 06:52:12 pm »
My front footpegs angle forward, not by much but enough to be mildly irritating; I think the pivot pins are worn. Are there any solutions out there?

Also, I couldn't find any forum articles about this - have I missed something? Maybe this is where I find out they all do that!

I Googled rearsets but there doesn't seem to be much out there except for Gilles. Are there any others still out there for the FZS600?

Thanks!

FZS600 Fazer / Re: What have you done to your FZS600 bike today
« on: 18 June 2016, 05:53:14 pm »
Finally finished Kebab19's fork upgrade with RaceTech emulators from PDQ1.com. First ride showed them to be a bit soft; need preload adjusters now!

And this is the last of a long list of jobs since buying the Fazer earlier this year ('99, 16,000 miles on clock but been garaged and unused for a few years) which started with full brake system rebuild (front and rear), full engine service, rear suspension linkage service, new tyres, new brake lines, and more little jobs than I can remember, or want to think about now.

Time to ride!
