FZS600 Fazer / bulbs for fazer 600

Can anyone suggest any decent bulbs for my fzs600 1999 headlight/s, Recently bought the bike and the headlight is about as bright as a candle, i have heard of wiring mods that can be done, but my electrical side of things is pretty much zilch  , cheers, Chris.
