My two bob's worth and friendly advice only, tell me to piss off if you want.
Keep it ..... join a local RoSPA Advanced group and change your style of riding!
and be VERY well behaved for as long as the points are active.
You'd miss it if it wasn't there and you are just as likely to get nicked in your car in a 30mph limit as you are on a bike. Just re-think how you ride/drive.
Best wishes
Sounds good, but I’ve promised my 2 young daughters I’ll sell it, and mentally I’m committed to getting rid Thanks anyway

This is a very sorted bike. Very sharp handling and set up well by revithard in Newcastle under Lyme. Mot until April I think but loads anyway. I’ve been using it daily in this good weather. I’m honestly gutted, but I’m an Hgv driver and I cannot moderate my self, 6 points for silly speed has been a wake up call and I’ve just got to let her go before it costs me my lively hood.

So after a second set of 4xv cams again with no oil ways through cam, I’ve got a set of fzs1000 cams
So. Early r1 4xv cams 98-00 will not fit from my experience, which is counter to everything Ivan has recommended in the thread posted by falcon

Okay so the shop have built bike up and now they are saying the 4xv r1 cams won’t fit as there is no oil way in the cams

So that says the cam pulleys are slotted ?! They are not, and all the pictures I can find shows they aren’t
So putting r1 cams in at stock cam timing is going to kill my midrange
Ah well

Also do 4xv cams fit ? As loads about and cheaper than fzs1000 cams

So my guy is getting the head off as the valves and cam are worn
Anyone got a decent inlet cam about ?
Also is it worth fitting an r1 head Gasket to bump compression a bit ?
Where is the best supplier for valves and gaskets ?

Hello. Original engine mount bolts Gen1 Fazer 1000.
1x 10 mm bolt 110mm long. 2x 10mm bolt 115mm long. 1x 8mm bolt 115mm long.
All measurements taken from under bolt head.
Hope this helps.
Awesome thanks ! I take it they are the lengths Without the slider ? And bolt shank widths, not hex head widths ?

Hi lads I went to remove my crash bungs and took the left one off, put the bolts back thru the engine mount and realised I needed either shorter bolts or thick spacers/washers to get the nut to butt up against something, due to threads not going far enough up bolts Can anyone spec me new bolts to order or spacers ? Just need length and width Cheers I’d have measured them but silly me lost my tape measure

I’m a bit of a tart, I dont ride in winter. But today I had to check if she was ok as moving to a new place next week. I expected the old girl to be dead as not touched it for 3 months now, put key in, pressed the button and nothing, not even a click. So I jumped it off my car and she fired straight up warmed her up for a few mins and off I went for a blast. Jesus Christ I’ve missed the power, what an absolute beauty she is, and running perfectly despite her extended hibernation

This looks amazing!! I’d love to attempt a trip like this. How much would it cost ? Do you do it in one hit or stop in France overnight? How much fuel to get down there ?
So many questions !
