im after either a tatty original seat or a seat with gel inserts or similar for my long trip in august.

Forget the seat. cheapest option I have found is buy a few pairs of these for long trips.

Padded in the seat area and keep you nice and warm. Can also whip the riding trousers off without scaring the locals  :lol
