I am giving him 6 months notice to vacate the property as I intend to return to the UK in January, health reasons (my arse)

I thought that you as the landlord only need give 2 months notice.
Funny how he was happy and content - was paying low rent then along comes this woman gives him grief and then gives you grief.
This grief you are getting now will not end with new white goods and a boiler it will be on going about every little thing you are best shot of them.

The intent is there clearly

Intent of what?

If you see old bill on the roads, what's the first thing you do?
Behave yourself and also slow down.
Is that a bad thing?

Just noticed your post was also a link

"A spokesman said: ‘It does not look like a police uniform." ---- Fazersharp says "yes it fecking does"

"The makers admit there is little difference between the chequered strip on the bib and blue-and-white crosshatching used by police."----- EXACTLY

Ok so I see how it may be of benefit but I also see an issue when a load of twats in an astra pull up next to you and take umbridge that they have been fooled into thinking you were a copper

But they're a load of twats in an Astra!  :car

It would depend what notice period is written into the tenancy agreement wouldn't it?.

So sounds like he's gained a girlfriend & lost his nice flat in the process :rolleyes. Blimey, she must be a stunner! :lol

Well slimwilly, I'm a misguided fool, about what? And how the hell has it got nothing to do with the unions. The unions are a collective.
Basically what you are telling me is that anyone employed in any capacity that may affect you has no right to strike. That means that nurses, fireman, train drivers and the like will have to suffer financial hardship and deteriorating conditions just so they don't inconvenience you.
I agree that the unions in the 70's had far to much power and behaved irresponsibly. However I don't want to return to tugging my forelock and being totally subservient to the employer like it was before the Trade Union movement began.
You should lighten up a bit, we all have to suffer but A days train strike isn't the end of the world.
Never underestimate the ingenuity of an idiot!

Especially ones that are really shit attempts at a name with random numbers in the mix that make no sense whatsoever, but the owner can only see their name quite clearly.
3 people at my work have really good ones which match their name spot on, but 2 others have diabolical efforts which are laughable, and they paid for that privilege.  :lol

Personalised no plates......there are some really nice/good ones but the majority I see now are "the leftovers/dregs" that owners illegally space letters/numbers in some ludicrously pathetic attempt to give themselves some "status" or highlight their ethnicity( eg near me I8(S?) LAM) :eek
I can see the point of putting a cheap Northern Irish plate on to avoid the 6 monthly age-related nonsense-but I suppose it keeps some people employed?
When they introduced the new system in Sept 2001 (51) they also brought in a standard font. In my understanding all these jiggled around plates should be MOT failures as it could be argued that this is an attempt to confuse the scanning cameras.
Its all ego isnt it & it backfires because most sane people think "What a Tosser!"

I generally think 'cockwomble' when I see personalised plates but I would have L1 TRE on my Fazer and STR 675R on my Triumph.
