Its pay and display - but bikes don't have to in Brighton and Lewes. When I moved here I called and they confirmed this
Can I park a motorcycle in a pay and display bay?You cannot park in a pay and display bay with a motorcycle. We provide free motorcycle parking throughout the city and you should leave your motorcycle in one of these bays.
Sorry, but according to Brighton's Parking PagesQuoteCan I park a motorcycle in a pay and display bay?You cannot park in a pay and display bay with a motorcycle. We provide free motorcycle parking throughout the city and you should leave your motorcycle in one of these bays.Brighton is full of free bike parking bays
You could try appealing but i don't reckon you'll win, especially as they offer free motorcycle parking anyway.

Clearing the warden was just another jobsworth with a target bonus.

What appeal can you make? I don't think that " I couldn't see the bike bay, because of parked cars" is going to wash very well? And why was the warden being a "jobsworth"? He was just doing his job, it's not like it was personal.
