MT Models / Re: My MT09
« on: 19 June 2020, 04:49:38 am »
I was out today with a group that included an MT09 Tracer. My FZS600 is as quick as the tracer. I liked the tracer before I discovered that :pokefun
Doesn’t that depend on the rider?

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Can’t let go, good or bad?
« on: 08 June 2020, 07:09:19 pm »
I’ve just swapped my mt09 for a street triple r. Much better quality suspension even after throwing fork springs and a shock at the mt, it was horrible. Probably down a bit on power to the FZ1 but it’s plenty quick enough

What does that Akra sound like?
You will have to post a video with it running.Nice looking with that colour scheme
It’s very loud without the baffle and spits flames out.

Happy to be the first post in here.
I bought an MT09 last year.

I think Kawasaki Versys is closer to the spiritual successor of the Fazer.
Maybe but it’s not a Yamaha.

General / Can we have a section for successor bikes? MT09 and MT10?
« on: 20 April 2020, 08:37:22 am »
Finally got round to this.
I think the mt09/tracer/mt10 range is a successor to the fazers, obviously there are differences but it’s what I’ve moved onto and I wanna stay on the site.
I replaced my FZS 1000 with an Mt09 as it just sort of happened. I had my Fazer advertised on fb walked into a bike shop, sat on the mt and was sold on it. After  pxing my fireblade 929 for the new bike, a buyer came thru for the Fazer.
The Mt09 is a lot lighter, very quick acceleration but obviously not as practical as the Fazer. A tracer would be more like on to be fair, but as they share the same engine and I’ll be using mine for touring and scratching, you know.

« on: 08 March 2020, 07:20:37 pm »
Get an mt09, one with the suspension sorted, an ecu flash and an exhaust, it’s comfortable and great fun. Or if you want th3 wind protection, a tracer 900. Wheelies are addictive, even little crap ones.

I’ll be out there with others 28th August for a week
