Haven't seen that Leffe before. I have had the ruby one and honey one (sadly only 5% those two ) and also had the braun one. Here an older photo I posted a while back complete with a FOCer salute

Mr Sharp , not sure what part of the midlands you live but not to far from me there is a pub in upper Longdon that serves leffe on draught I have recently been told, also there is a bar in Lichfield that sells a selection of Belgium beers

7.5% I go to a Café /Bar not far from were I live here in France . I normally only have 2 pints while watching Liverpool play (no sarky comments) I tried this and thought, very nice. I asked the bar keep what strength it was , oh not so much. Long story short had a about 5 pints, got a taxi home.It is the dogs.

Time we started this again I think
This has long been one of my favourites but don't see it in the supermarkets much and I have never seen it on draught.

Budweiser aluminium bottle, bottled in St Louis Missouri for the 'St Louis Cardinals' Baseball team, The Cards official beer, the fact it taste like parrots piss is neither here or there, it is a neat bottle and it allows them to charge you an extra 2$ for absolutely nothing.
Bloody good baseball team though 'Yoo The Cards' watched them play the LA Dodgers at the Bushe Stadium in St Louis back in the Springtime.
Cards Budweiser = shit beer :grumble
tommyardin's family = great peeps :D

cloudwater |
Got one of these in the fridge Im going to crack open tonight. Cloudwater/Lervig 12% imperial chocolate stout with sour cherry juice, aged for 12 months in bourbon casks. Bought it to drink on Christmas day, but was bunged up with flu and wouldnt have been able to taste it, so held it back.
-
Wow iamthearrison what a concoction that is -- sounds nice though and I like the strong ones - drinking this right now

It was absolutely stunning. Tastes like a black forest gateux in a glass. Not cheap at 14 quid for a 750ml bottle, but no more than youd pay for a decent bottle of wine, and far nicer IMO
-
Tonights beer - Lost Souls by Abbeydale Brewery, a 10% russian imperial stout. I dont know how far from Sheffield this gets distributed, but if you like strong, dark beers and you see it in your local bottle shop, buy one. I promise you wont be disappointed.

WTF have they done to tyskie looking forward to one on sunday with my BBQ and :eek :eek :eek they have reduced the strength to 5.0% from 5.5% - cheeky focers all without asking. IMO it has killed the taste that it once had.
Same gos for Steller - its now down to 4.5% -- did they think I wouldn't notice :finger
not impressed

The only Trappist beer to be brewed in the uk and only the 12th Trappist beer in the world launched today and I've got some !!!. :D
Here are the requirements to be recognised as a Trappist beer
- The beer must be brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, either by the monks themselves or under their supervision.
- The brewery must be of secondary importance within the monastery and it should witness to the business practices proper to a monastic way of life
- The brewery is not intended to be a profit-making venture. The income covers the living expenses of the monks and the maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Whatever remains is donated to charity for social work and to help persons in need.
