Fazer 400 and other models / Cam chain and tensioner?« on: 09 April 2015, 08:11:35 am »
Good morning chaps, would anyone know or be able to find the Yamaha part number for the cam chain and the tensioner for my '97 FZ400? D:
Edit: Sorry to be a pain I've just found that the chain and tensioner is the same as the FZS600, is that right? Also I do need new intake rubbers, would they be the same too? 4
FZS600 Fazer / Re: fzs getting naked...« on: 09 March 2015, 10:25:46 pm »Something big! I think you're taking off a pretty big fairing so you have to replace it with something fairly big to keep the look of the bike balanced. If you use small lights it looks like there's something missing. If you're thinking of selling the bike in the future you should keep the original fairing. There was a factory "café racer" 400 on here a while back. It had a large single head light and it looked good. Someone might be able to find the pictures of it. :> 5

FZS600 Fazer / FZS and Thundercat brake levers interchangeable?« on: 27 February 2015, 05:38:05 pm »
Afternoon chaps, I've spotted a set of brake and clutch levers I would like to pop on the Fazer but they are for the 'cat. Will they fit? Also what do you think of these cheap Chinese shorties? Obviously they are not going to be up to the quality of the proper brands, but are they 'okay'? They're only £15 so surely worth a punt?
Cheers :> 9

I was just trying to register on the MotoGP site and there was no option for United Kingdom......? We pissed em off?

General / Re: Fazer model kits?« on: 12 February 2015, 08:14:50 pm »Why not buy one part a week and build a real one. Maybe I could buy all the bits from a breaker and assemble it in my living room? That would be rather cost effective? 12
General / Re: Fazer model kits?« on: 12 February 2015, 05:47:58 pm »
Yeah I saw that, I can't see any actual Fazers though. I might just get an XJR400 and alter that, seeing as my front end is the same anyway

Afternoon all, I've got a hankering to make my bike. I cannot for the life of me find any Fazer model, does anyone know of any?

FZS600 Fazer / Air filters compatible?« on: 08 February 2015, 06:59:48 pm »
Evening chaps, I'm pretty sure the FZS600 air filter is exactly the same as the 400 model? Thought I better check before ordering a K&N. Also are all the FZS600 models the same filter?

I've got a few words I ask myself in riding/hooning. I ask am I being a dick? If I can't honestly say no it's time to tone it down a bit.

I got mine off (FZ400) by wiggling them left to right until they came loose. Maybe some WD would help? I didn't need any though.

I wanted to have the option to use short gloves in the hot weather so wouldn't work for me. Seriously though, they were just over half way down my forearm 21

I don't know if they are strangely long but I am 6ft 2" with broad shoulders, maybe I'm just not their shape 22

General / Re: 1 / 2 piece leathers« on: 21 January 2015, 04:35:01 pm »I recon I'm going to ask my misis nicely to get me a new Richa Phantom textile jacket for my bday. I was sure I was going to get a 2 piece RST Tracktech but when I tried it on I found it didn't fit me very well at all, and the arms were really short so wearing short summer gloves wouldn't be an option. So I don't know if you've tried them on but I didn't expect that at all. 24

I've got a set of larger than needed no name 2 piece leathers for winter, because I can get clothes under them to keep warm. I've also recently got a new set of Dainese 2 piece with perforations which I imagine will keep me super cool in summer
