Great weather in Morecambe today so cleaned her then a ride up to Kirby Lonsdale and finished off at Sunderland point in Overton which is where the photo was taken. Lots of bug splats on the lid too which makes me happy.....summer is finally here, fingers crossed it stays long time.

Fantastic looking bike

Thanks😁

Finally got my girl back last week after she was pushed over and damaged down the right hand side so today has been filled with wash and a full treatment of acf 50....she looks mint!

The Fizzy 600, both box & fox eye, simply have nice proportions to me, and that is a particularly nice example.

How come it was pushed over?

What seat is that?

Yeah she was pushed over by a Down Syndrome lad, he was walking through my works car park with his carer and he just pushed it over. I was gutted and after over a month messing with insurance (his not mine) It was finally repaired last week. The seat as with all the mods were done by the previous owner, you can tell its been a much loved bike and that will certainly continue with my ownership :-)

Talking rubber in my experience makes the women go bleary eyed, I always thought it was a turn on for them.......maybe it was from just pure boredom  :)

Got home from work and took my son straight out on a test ride, both fully geared up including mine and his rucksack full of books, PE kit etc. After half term he will ride too and from school with me as my work is only 5 mins away. His school bus/times are just not reliable enough, Plus it will save us more than £40 a month in bus fares. He was a damn good passenger, thankfully 😊

Managed to achieve 58N/cm adhesion rubber to polyester fabric in the lab today. The manager and I have been trying different components and compounds for months and we finally cracked it. Customer spec only requires 30 N/cm so yeah, that felt good😊

Absolute radio is ok, you can also choose Absolute 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's too which is pretty good (DAB or internet only though)
Other than that I go for BBC Radio 6 purely because you get alternative music on there rather than just chart tripe, again its DAB or internet though.

Short update......

Received a letter today from the insurance, cutting a long letter short it read.......

We have received all extra documentation thank you (Strange asthe only thing I sent was an email last week)
We can confirm that we are happy for you to proceed with repairs at Honda as per the estimate @ £872.57

It seems to me the low loader and courtesy bike demand might have scared them into paying out and be done with it?

I will now ask Honda to source the parts and get her booked in asap.

Cannot wait to have her back looking spick n span again, today is a happy day. :)

Ah, that's gutting, sorry to hear that.  We're a good bunch on here.  Put a list of what you need on the sales and wants page with a brief eplanation of what happend, or point to a link to this thread.

I'm sure between us we can help you out and get you up and running.  Ebay is also very useful for parts, I'm sure we can do this for a lot less than £900

I need to check, but as a starter for 10, I think I might have a break leaver in the garage........

That's very good of you thank you. All the parts have been sourced already including an original top fairing and not a cheap copy which I am happy about. There is a crack on the left hand side which was there when I purchased the bike last April so if there is any saving grace to the outcome of this then  I suppose that will be it.
I haven't mentioned anything to my insurance as even though I am not actually putting in a claim with them as soon as you mention anything a marker goes against your name and you become a risk meaning your future premiums go up. I've heard this from numerous people.
In the argument with their insurance company I said if they wanted a second quote then they could collect my bike on a low loader and bring a courtesy bike at the same time or do I get taxis everywhere and send the bill to them. I also told Honda I need a courtesy bike and the guy said they would provide one as they always do so no matter what I should be ok commuting too and from work.

I spoke *once again* to the insurance firm covering him yesterday only for them to change the goalposts again. They say I have to provide a second quote for repairs and a written statement to be sent to them by any witnesses and myself. I didn't actually witness it being pushed over however some of my colleagues did as they were out on the car park at the time having a cigarette break which is when one of them came in and told me.
I also spoke to the lads mother and asked her for the carers works address and telephone number and explained that her insurance is making me jump through hoops all of which is a massive inconvenience for me. She said the carer isn't employed by a care home but by her, in fact her son is officially his employer, not sure how the hell that works but there you go that's what she told me.
I telephoned my local Honda garage who are taking care of my bike (Yes I know its Honda but I've always gone to these guys because I trust them) and he said he had a feeling they would do something like this as with all insurance firms they simply do anything they can to avoid paying out. He has sent all the details to a solicitor who will now deal with the insurance firm on my behalf. He said be prepared for a long winded drawn out situation.
I just want my girl back as I left her at 8am on Monday morning which is exactly what I shouted down the phone to the insurance firm before I slammed the phone down, well not slammed the phone down more like pressed end call.......would've been nice to be able to slam the phone like old times though.

Well, the carers car had pretty much every panel dented which makes me think the downs fella possibly has a history with lashing out. Of course I'm just speculating but you know it makes you wonder eh. So far my local garage has totted up the cost (£900 of repairs) that's without the tank and exhaust and they are adamant if I push for any more they might just write her off. To be honest I'm struggling to make a decision as I don't want them to write it off but I've been told if I push too much with insurance I could get a jobs worth and he/she might send it to the underwriters...No idea what that means.

Monday is bad enough as it is this time of year but was made a whole lot worse when my bike was purposely pushed over whilst parked outside my office window. Long story short. A carer was walking back to his car with a client, the client pushed my bike over stating that it was in his way. I rush out ready to knock 10 bells out of them both effing and jeffing. The carer was very apologetic, the client is down syndrome.......my heart sank, I took a deep breath and asked the carer for full details. The downs fella has public liability insurance but unfortunately will not cover all damage to the bike as it will cost more to repair than what the book price of the bike is worth. It's looking like I will have to put up with a ding in the tank and exhaust. Upper fairing will be replaced as will indicator, bar end and break lever. Rear fairing is being De-stickered, buffed and new stickers added. Crash bung won't be replaced either.
She's a right mess, like I said....gutted:-(

Currently off work for half term so decided an early morning full wash n wax then Back to black on all the plastic as was looking a tad grey especially the mirrors. Sun shining so a cheeky blast up to Kirby Lonsdale and back, would've been rude not to. Seen a silver fazer 1000 04 reg whilst up there too. Happy days!

Cheers,  all my sessions are live using a Roland MC 505 groovebox and a Korg es1 sampler recorded directly into Audacity. It takes me a couple of months to create each track then once I've got all the riffs, drums etc done I do a live performance. I used to use Cubase and Fruityloops studio but found it boring staring at a screen so now I record live with synths.

Yep I had one of those this morning whilst on my way into work. Young un on L plates on a honda cb125. 1st he comes flying down the bus lane which is legal only for buses and cycles in my town, I know other towns allow motorbikes in these lanes. Then  he tries to squeeze in between the car in front of myself and the one in front of that due to traffic lights up ahead on red but they don't let him in so slams brakes on and filters in next to me as I could see what was going to happen so had moved over for him to do so. Looked at me, no thanks no nod nothing. I looked him up and down, gear he had on was lid (well done) adidas tracky top (quite nice actually) combat shorts and to top it off was a pair of pumps with trainer socks. Few hundred meters down the road he continued on his reckless journey overtaking in the bus lane at madness speeds. I don't get it to be honest, I mean why is anyone in such a hurry to get to work that they'd happily risk becoming part of the road surface?

Stunning day so took it for a run.

Chris

I really do like the look of a belly pan on the Frazer, these pics give me a good idea of how mine would look with one. Seen them on eBay but scared to take the plunge in case it's rubbish quality.

Hiya Moog,

Seen as my camera has just died and I'm looking at the same as yours to replace it - was just wondering if you have any video clips you can post up  :thumbup

Sure this
is the latest video I have uploaded recently of one of my rideouts to Devils bridge. helmet cam footage starts at 1min 22.
Bit of a shameless plug of my music too, apologies if the music is a bit crap to your ears.
In my opinion the camera quality is ok for what I need and can be switched between 720 + 1080p. The mic on it however is rubbish so bear that in mind if you want decent sound.

 :)

Thanks for the responses, I just turned my laptop upside down to get a good idea of the mounting ha. The camera I have is what I will be keeping but from the responses it looks like sticky pads and a bit of glue is the way forward for me, I was just concerned the pads wouldn't be enough but it seems they are. Might use my hot glue gun too just to be sure.
When I have a new lid and the camera is mounted I shall upload here.

Again thanks,

I've seen the thread from last year where it got a bit heated with salad eating etc so thought it best I start a new topic. If there is another topic just like this then I do apologize and would welcome me being linked to it.

I use my bike every day whatever the weather to commute 7 miles each way between Morecambe (live) to Lancaster (work)
So after speaking with the wife we agreed it would be a good idea to get myself a helmet camera. Now I know I am not perfect and I do make mistakes but generally speaking I think I ride safely however if I was in an accident and it wasn't my fault then video footage would hopefully help my case. The camera is nothing special, cost me £20 off ebay and I have a 16gb micro SD card which lasts an hour or so of recording. every couple of days I take the camera off the helmet to recharge and wipe the SD card clean, very simple no inconvenience at all. I do upload to Youtube but it is not to point the finger at crap drivers or to name and shame, I use my ride out footage to accompany my music I create (other hobby) rather than just focusing on me playing my Synths and drum machine, I think it makes more a more pleasant video for the viewer.

Anyway the reason I started this is to ask if any of you have managed to successfully mount a camera onto your helmet without any issues? Is there any mounting kits out there you know of? I have mine attached with gaffer tape and velcro straps, sure it looks a mess but as it's my old lid from when I first started riding a couple of years ago I am not too bothered but I am currently looking into buying a better helmet and wouldn't want it to look like this. To be honest other than the way it look it works an absolute treat :D

So I checked the front sprocket nut and one of the previous owners looks to have already done it which is good news. It was a bit mucky in there so gave it a good clean and degrease whilst the cover was off so it was worth having a look in the end. :)

noggythenog much appreciated thanks for the heads up on that, its gone to the top of the weekend checklist. I am not very mechanically minded (I do like to have a go at smaller jobs) but a quick youtube search shows that even a novice like myself could check and replace if it hasn't already been done.
Again thanks.
