Fazer rear caliper
« on: 26 October 2019, 01:53:47 pm »
Hi guys,

Just had a Fazer thou rear caliper fitted to my fzs600. The rear brake is very sensitive, only have to rest my foot on the pedal to get sharp braking, is that normal? Also the rear brake light doesn't activate until the brake lever is pressed quite hard, if I press it that hard though it will probably lock the rear. Is there anyway of fixing this? Just had this caliper fitted at a garage. Cheers.

Click on downloads & select manuals on the left, check pedal height adjustment & black plastic brake light switch with wires going to it at rear of pedal can be rotated up or down to alter when lights come on. Smile

Dunno what condition your bike is in, but use a can of brake cleaner, WD40, etc, to clean inside the pivot of the foot lever, as over time it can get clogged up with dirt and affect the braking quality. Especially if you're altering sensitivity.
