I know a couple of people that might be interested, one I work with so I will speak to him when he comes out of his meeting, but the other I will have to wait to speak with tonight.

We are also in the Swindon,Wiltshire area.

Was ment to reply sooner but been a bit busy, spoke to my mates and the one I work with hasn't got back to be but I know he has just bought a bike to work on as a project so not sure if he would have the funds for another. However, I will try and get a deffo answer out of him this week. The other guy would love to but all his money is going on doing his full bike license. I will keep asking around, but if you're after a quick sale might be worth popping down to Budget Bikes in Swindon as a bike like that they would snap your hands off for as they know they would make a decent profit on it for resale.

Thanks for the reply. I'm getting a bit of interest across gumtree etc, so will just stick to a private sell, thanks for the advice though.

Go very carefull with gumtree as I tried selling my old bike there twice and I was nearly the victim of a scam on both occasions. Watch out for comments like I'm not able to view the bike as I'm in a wheelchair at the moment due to an operation blar blar. Also if you go through PayPal and after they say they are going to pay full price, after you get the so say email from PayPal stating the money has been transferred to your account, check your account, I know this may sound like obvious stuff but you will be surprised how easily you can drop your guard.

Surely Gumtree is more of a viewing thing then them handing over real cash.
If they ask for a test ride you ask if they're insured then hold their money for them, any accidents and they've bought it.

Gumtree is a general for sale site and yes like you say you break you buy but these scammers are professional and unless you are very on the ball they find ways for you to drop your guard. Most of the time they don't ask for a test ride as they just go with the asking price and send a fake PayPal invoice which is very convincing, as the ones I had I forwarded to PayPal and they were even impressed on how convincing they were.

Some simple advice I was given after my experiences was always on expensive items like vehicles:
*Cash on collection
*test rides need proof of insurance and an agreed price cash in sellers hands.

Again I know this all sounds like obvious stuff but I would hate for someone to feel as crap and stupid as I did when I stupidly dropped my guard as I was just so excited about selling my old bike for more than a paid for it.

Finally managed to speak with my other mate, but unfortunatly he can't as like I said he has already bought a bike to do his project stuff on. I was at a bike meet up that happens every Tuesday from 6:30pm onwards at the Prince of Wales pub in Wootton Bassett and there was a guy there that was looking at buying a mk1 Fazer as he was trying to get me to sell mine and I mentioned your bike to him and he sounded keen, I would have shown this ad to him but couldn't get any internet signal on my phone. If you can get down there on a Tuesday you see him.
