If the down pipes are still good and strong I would look at cutting out the balance tubes and welding in a new bit of tube.

You could cut through the remains of the foot peg at the front of the mounting point, having done that cut down through the remains of the peg and through the mounting pin. Do this twice as close the the mounting bracket. Not the clearest description but I hope you get the idea.

When I used to go to work every day on the bike, traffic upsets would happen. My response to them changed after it occurred to me that every day i was travelling with the same cars around me. My thoughts went on the lines of one day a car cuts me up and I respond, great, but what about the days to follow, if you have upset a real nutter you could fine out how vulnerable motorcyclists are.

What great thinking, there is a twat driving right up your rear end on a motorway at I guess 70 Mph and you wish to dazzle then or distract them. Best of luck with that idea.
I always pull out of their way and let them pass.

I would inspect the plates for wear and if they are with in the limits I would clean them with brake and clutch cleaner and a light rub over if fine emery paper. I will wait to hear what others think to this.

« on: 24 May 2016, 09:53:21 pm »
I was really looking forward to meeting everybody. Unfortunately, I had an off last week and will not be recovered from the injuries. Broken rib, Bennett's fracture needing immediate surgery, contusions and badly swollen left leg, which gave the medics cause for concern. Surgeon told me that I may not regain sufficient movement to be able to ride again but we shall see. It won't be for lack of trying !
Fazer is battered and scraped. Someone picking it up this week to do an assessment.
Anyway, I'll be thinking of you all on the day.

Really sorry to hear about your accident Anquetil. Take it easy fella, wishing you a speedy recuperation.  :)

As I could not put it better, as Celticdog say.

I would be interested in attending a midlands gathering. I think a meeting point not on the biking scene is a better idea because as everyone arrives it is easy to know they are arriving for your event. It is harder for me as I ride a Honda, but with fazers being so popular the situation is valid.

Hi, I have  other commitments on the Saturday so can not do the full weekend, but would I be alright to doss down possibly Saturday night, and definitely Sunday night. It would be nice to see the crowd as well as doing  the great ride up to the event. If it is ok let me know what my share of the costs are for this. Cheers

A drop down / drawn bridge ramp the width of the door way would be good, in the up position it could be bolt at the two top corners and used to add security to the doors. Also with the floor possibly needing more strength to cope with the weight of the bike, putting extra boards down could be used to raise the floor to match the door jib, this would remove the bump as you push the bike out.
