« on: 17 November 2020, 04:46:51 pm »
well feck me side ways

Today for the first time in over 15 yrs I applied for a personal loan

Not just of any bank but the one we have our mortgage with

santan or should I call them satan der

what a feck waste of time that was
I spent over an hour on the phone going over more details then you could imagine

they already have all the details and nothing has changed  but still need to do it

Then they say we may need to have our house valued  WTF I want a 11k loan for a car !!!!

then to top it all off

At the end he says hopefully we can have all this sorted in two to three weeks ! I said what !

two to three weeks ? yep that long

bloody car I want to buy will be rusty by then

In the vid of the proposed lap of the course all I can say the bikes sound awful !!!
engine noise sound like they are about to blow up !

I know they are not under any load but still I'm sure the exhaust should sound better than a tin box with some bolts in being shaken !

have family in the Isle of Wight

My place is booked already no matter what the final date is

so far I've never made it to the Isle of Mann so this will just have to do !

Only issue is , lets see what it does to the price of the ferries,
they do hold everyone to ransom

As they say it is the most expensive mile for mile water crossing in the world !

some times when a battery fails , it only fails to take a new charge , which means it has charge left in it !

so you start and ride round but as the battery slowly uses up that charge the bike starts to run rougher and rougher !

until there is no charge left and it dies

it does sound like this but
it could be as simple as a corroded connecter some where or  if the noises you were hearing were mechanical
 maybe alternator issues
I saw something about the magnets failing out.
I don't know much about gen 2's but then I don't know much about gen 1's either !
if you can borrow a battery and try it before forking out for a new one

Hit a pigeon once going slight Faster than I should have been
Feck did it hurt  nearly lost the bike ( not my Fazer) just held on to the handle bars with my finger tips

It flew straight into to me Head on , I had a bruise across my chest for days, and it was a good 1/2 hour before I was able to breath properly and ride the rest of the way to work

The pigeon sat there at the side of the road for 30 seconds then flew off !

I would not recommend trying it !

with out doubt your magical touch with the full ivanising has made such a difference

even  now after nearly 17years I can see a bike on the market that for me is a real replacement

when oiling your cables , I seem to remember being told not to use WD40 or common 3 in 1 oils as they strip the Teflon coating from the inner cable and shorten cable life considerably

the inner cable for clutch and choke have a very thing clear Teflon impregnated  plastic sleeve  on
