Yesterday actually.
A beautiful sunny, if slightly chilly, Winter's day, so met up with OGRI48 (Paul) at the Steel Horse Cafe.
It was just like an early Spring day and sooooo enjoyed the ride there and, as always, meeting up with my good friend Paul.
Loads of bikes there, including a couple of Boxeye 600s - one in gold the other in red & white.
Looking forward to this bike year more than any other I can remember, with a couple of trips already planned - the one to Normandy in June already booked up and ready to go!!
Bring it on!!  :faz :sun :thumbup

Hope this helps everyone....

Le Touquet  2020 .The biggest beach race in the world.Held over 3 days at the end of January every year in the up market coastal resort of Le Touquet.
Its about an hours ride down the D940 coast road from Calais.

We  normally stop for a coffee on the way down and have some lunch in Le Touquet.

We have been going out for the last 10 years on the final Sunday. This year it will be the 2nd of February. We have booked the 7.20 euro tunnel going out and the 18.20 return.£15 each way.
If any of you want to join us just book your train .If you have to return at another time no problem. We are meeting at the terminal no later than 6.30am

They shut the town to cars so the bikes can ride in. Over 200,000 spectators over the 3 days .The top off road racers going for it on the Sunday completely bonkers .They have race whatever the weather.

I've got exactly the same ones as Don on my thou.
Just as he says, they aren't perfect but are a good improvement.
Also means you keep the adjustability of the mirrors, which you lose if you do the "reverse" mod.

Had that Pipe Werx on my Foxeye 600. What a fab exhaust it was too. Great quality and a really tasty exhaust note.

Paul (Ogri48) told me a tale of the saddest bikers (him & her) and their bike clothing (that was Ducati as well if I remember correctly) he'd seen when we went to the NEC for the bike show a few weeks ago.
I'll let him elaborate coz he tells it much better than me!!

True, that SP2 looks great but I'm a sucker for the original

Good shout with the R1250R VNA.
I've not ridden one but I did have a go on an older R1100R and that was great too.
They look kinda cool too IMO!!!

Honda VTR 1000 SP1 (in the original red)
Gen 1 1998 Yamaha YZF-R1 (in the red & white colours)
The new 2020 Honda CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade SP

To be honest, at my age, I am not sure I could actually ride these any more but they look awesome!!!

Check the front sprocket nut is not loose, including the threads on the shaft, and do the wider nut upgrade if it needs one.
Big safety upgrade that is highly recommended.

I put a Pipe Werx stainless can on my Foxeye 600 and it sounded lovely with the baffle in (not overly loud) and absolutely awesome with the baffle out.
It just depended on my mood  :D
They are based in the Liverpool area and the quality & customer service is second to none either.
I sold the bike to OGRI48 (Paul) for his son to have and I still remember the sound as he drove away and thinking "Hhmmm, I should have kept that one!!!!".

Welcome to the club Rich.
I live in Bargoed, so not too far away.
I have to say this is one of the best forums I've ever been part of and there are many good people here always willing to help a fellow Foccer.
FZS600 Foxeye was my first big bike after passing my direct access and I have very fond memories of it.
It is one of the best all rounders you can buy and I'm sure you will have a great time with it.
Good luck!!
Dave.

Those Barkbuster guards are awesome.
They make such a difference by keeping the wind blast off the top and outside of your hands while the heated grips keep the palms and insides warm.

Took the Harley FXDWG Evo to Steel Horse near Abergavenny to meet up with Paul (Ogri48) on his Fat Boy Evo.
Really good turnout in the sunshine and fab to catch up with my good mate Paul.
