I bought a couple of led stop tail bulbs to replace the crap normal bulbs that I have fitted at the moment, I have to open up the hole slightly for them to fit, the bulbs I got give out a white light and I will take a comparison picture to see how much difference there is

in the end I ended up fitting ebc clutch plates, with genuine new springs. now the clutch bites mid way rather at the end, which is a massive difference, I am very happy, but I have a question, is there a procedure in how to bed in the clutch plates?

I have sourced a complete genuine Yamaha clutch plate set,as to the springs is it worth going for an uprated spring set or is it best to stick to standard?

Well it looks like it is time for a new clutch for my fazer,she does have 71k miles on her but the clutch is dragging badly and the biting point is at the very end of the lever travel,yes the free play is ok.so the question is which clutch plates is the best without spending a lot of money?

my fiancé has said for the honeymoon doing a tour of europe,around 2500 miles on the bike,so i have some planning to do,and i have to get my rack fitted.

looking on the yamaha parts site at suttons,they say the 2001-2002 brake disc is different to the 2003 on,dos anyone know what the differences are and will the discs interchange?

not many bikes will start up first time after not being statedfor over a month,i have not charged the battery,theonly reasons why i did not ride the bike is i had personal problems and no money to re mot the bike,i have the bike booked in next saturday for an mot,then the tax runs out

Went to the hospital today for a follow up to a MRI scan I had done a few weeks a go,the doctor told me my back was very worn with bulging discs and even a slightly slipped disc,basically my back has worn prematurely ,so I'm hoping I can still ride a bike for a few years yet as there is nothing the doctors can do.i am only 47 so not yet for the knackers yard yet but parts of me seem to be going that way lol.

in the past 2 days i have had 2 phone calls from scammers saying i have a problem with my computer,normaly during the week i would be at work but im on the sick so im home and get these annoying phone calls,on the first call the indian woman kept on that my computer would not connect to the internet and she got a bit annoyed before i hung up,on both calls i did 1471 and only the second call did i get a number which doing a web search nothing came up,that number is 092318 .anyone else had these calls?

i have decided to sell my 1980 honda mb5 sports moped,the bike is on a w reg and is on sorn,it was a runner when taken off the road and has been dry stored in my kitchen,the bike will need some tlc but nothing major,with a weekends work it could be on the road,
the bike has a 60cc big bore kit and i believe the carb has been bored out,it has a period micron exhaust fitted.the bike goes off the clock on the flat with me on it (speedo goes upto 46mph) and the bike is red in colour,i dont have any pics at the moment.
im after £500 no offers which is a bargain for a bike in this condition.
i also have some spares which includes an engine converted to 6 speed,a h100 carb and a few other parts,i want £200 for the parts,the 6 speed gear cluster are rare as hens teeth nowadays

for 6 weeks,i have to go in for an operation on my wrist for carpel tunnel on tuesday and it takes around 6 weeks to recover,then i may have to get the other wrist done

following an article in Practical Sportsbike magazine i have bought some stick coils and have made up an harness,just got to fit them now,it is an easy mod and will get rid of the ht leads,and as mine have 70k miles on them i doubt they are as good as when the bike was new,so has anyone else done this mod? or is anyone considering it?

if anyone is interested in george whites building in swindon they have a rear seat cowl in white going cheap,they also have a genuine seat cover as well,sorry i dont know the price but it will be cheaper than going to your local dealer

i took the air filter out and i found it was a bit dirty,and on the top of the filter was a date,  you can just make out the date and it is july 2005,here is a pic of the inside of the filter  all this is basic servicing,which looks to be neglected,the bike does have iridium plugs so someone did spend out once,i will get a new set and replace them but they do look ok. for the air filter as i could not get one localy (my local yamaha dealer went bust (george whites) and the local bike shops could not get a price so i made an air filter,i just happened to have a vauxhall midi (i think) air filter which is a cylindrical shape,i cut it down and it fits nicely inside the air filter box,and it ha a slightly bigger filter coverage,and the cost was zero,here is a pic of the part i did not use  ,yes i did clean it up before fitting,it will do till i can get around to fitting a k&n or similar filter. i also have a working choke,which my bike does need on a cold morning,this morning my bike took a while before it ran properly because it was cold,i recycled some bicycle parts i had lying around,it cost me just £3 for an inner cable  so i have managed to do things on a budget,my next job is to get some new clutch plates which wont be cheap
