Can't recall details, but sure there's a scam involving couriers? Be careful...

That's what the new limits are - but given that all trucks for years now have had to have speed limiters fitted (under eu law, set to 56mph), the only place you'll find them doing 60 is on a down hill drag where they know they can let it run on...

Presumably the sticker for your helmet is in the shape of a penis?

Yup. This talk of blasting the crap out, and doing it every two weeks - well that's why you're doing it every 2 weeks! Clean it properly, get some decent grease in there. Wd40 is not a lubricant!

Good work :-) I'm up to argyll in 2 weeks (not sure of exact location yet, waiting on tickets arriving), hope it doesn't look like that :-)

Never had a problem with mine lifting - you're obviously not carrying enough beer!

You must have gone to the posh end, frosties - you don't normally get the choice :lol

Seriously - Glasgow is fab, you'll have a blast. And yes there are a few foccers in the area, hopefully one or two will be along shortly. Just be glad aegis has moved away, your liver might never have recovered :rollin

I'm in a similar position, Bob - it consultant (although in a permanent job, go figure that one out!) and I fecking hate it. But the money.... How do I find something else, that comes close? I can handle a drop in income, when things I've toyed with the idea off, mean a 50% cut, and that's too much. I've got another 20 years to go, work wise, and all I know right now, is that I can't keep doing this shit!

Cos it compresses the fork where it clamps, stops you undoing the cap nut

At least with the Kegworth one, the warning lights were shown to be wired the wrong way round, if I recall correctly?

Posi locks and Posi taps are different things. For your purposes, you need Posi taps. I use them, dead handy, much better than scotch lock :thumbup

I know there's a couple of folks on here that've had a couple of versys? Are the back brakes shit as standard? We've got 3 hired ones in Thailand, and they're all the same, crap! Any info good :-)

All Year Biker

Can't recall the exact Web address (and too lazy to use Google)!

Nooj of this very parish has the franchise in Newbury.

I've had it done on both my Bikes, and all 6 of the charity Bikes - it's very well worth the £60...

If you use your own bike surely you'd need courier insurance to be legal!?
Generally no, as it's not paid work. Depends on the insurance company of course, and the op will need to inform his, to be certain, but I'm fleet manager for Northumbria Blood Bikes, and our policy is sd&p - they're fully aware of what we do.

Depends (to answer stevie's last point) on the local group - ok Northumbria Blood Bikes, we insist on riders having an advanced ticket. But then we also don't allow use of private vehicles, and pay for the fuel in the charity bikes - so overall, it's going to work out a lot less than not doing iam/rospa, but buying your own fuel. Some of our riders are doing 200 miles in a shift, doesn't take many shifts before you're better off.

But of course, it's not about the money - the satisfaction can be (is)  huge.

Not sure about rospa, but I believe iam's only stipulation is that it's a 500 or greater

Frosties, see where you're coming from, but surely you just check how much line you'd rolled off the winch? They were unmanned, controlled from the ground?

Edit: ah ok, Just seen chazs reply. Good call!

I would have gone with it being rate of ascent / descent - but if its not out of an aircraft? Submarine doesn't seem likely, with AM marked like that, so a bit stumped!

Don't take it apart.... Sorry!

I found it a nightmare in my cozy garage, patience and more patience was the key. Good luck!

Is this the one you meant, Lew? Not quite the outcome though?
