I've done nights for about the last 9 years, 4 x 12 hour shifts Monday to Thursday. As for my social life, it's great! 3 day weekend every weekend whats not to like.
Well just got back after getting the full monty and I'm a very happy boy. A big thank you to Mike for his hard work and to Brooker and especially his dad for there hospitality. Nice to meet you too Fazer Rat.
When I first got my bike the it was showing 7G. The valve was jamed solid and took a fair bit of gentle brute force to free it up and it got a little bent in the process. A little bit of gentle fettling later it was all back together and that was about 10000 miles ago and I've no problems since.
Bump I'm going to put them on evilbay next week but if anyone's interested they can have first dibs. The scratches on the faring are not as bad as they look, you can only just feel them with your finger tips.I would prefer to sell as a lot but may be willing to split, I'm would like £140 for the three.
I've been on the lookout for carbon can( for my black bike ) for while now and have bagged myself a slightly used Akrapovic .The only thing is it's a full on race can and I think it's going to be a little loud for the neighbours when I come home fromwork at 6 in the morning.
Has anybody any experience with an aftermarket baffle that's any good?
Have a good look at the clutch cable, the girlfriend's bike (Suzuki gladius) was doing the same thing and the cable was frayed and split up by the leaver but it was hidden in the outer sheath.

change the clutch still did not fix it
then I spray some wd40 down it and see if that sorts it out then i found the split in the cable because i cud see wd40
I did the same thing so now have a spare clutch for a suzi 650.

Had a couple of sets of roadsmarts on the Fazer and never had any complaints, I get good mileage and they are grippy enough for me. Was out today and all bar about a 1/4 inch of the rear tyre was scrubed clean . That said I've had a couple of set of PR2's on my Triumph and they are a bloody good tyre too.
When I started again with bikes I got myself some rst gear that was about £100 each which was fine for starters, but later on splashed out on some goretex gear and you really can tell the difference. I would say that in most cases es you get what you pay for. The other thing to think about is buying second hand off evil bay ect you get better quality gear at a bargin price it you use a bit of savvy, I did quite a bit of that when starting out.
The tail section is in black and is in fair condition, no cracks or scrapes, it is 7 years old so not mint.
The nose cone is also in black, this was brand new about 18 months ago however the bike slipped off it's side stand so there are some light scratches on the lefthand side above the indicator. There is also a crack about 75 mm long just under the indicator.
The tank is in metallic red it has small dent in the righthand side about the size of a tea spoon ( not including the handle ), it also has quite a few stone chips on the lefthand side.
I am open to offers if anyone is interested, if not they will go on evil-bay. I can not download photos at the moment as my Phone/camera will not play, but if you send me a PM with your mobile number I will happily sent you some photos.
While I'm one i also have two double bubble screens as well one black and one with a light tint.
I bought a pair of these for me and the other half a few weeks ago but we have now gone our separate ways so I have one up for sale. It's complete and as new as it's only been used a handfull of times, I'll even include the box. They are about £160 in this country or a bit cheaper if you buy from the US like I did. Open to sensible offers.
A quick question for the edjumacated masses on here. I'm on the look out for a second hand end can for my fazer and was wondering if any of the R1 one's I've seen for sale will fit?

Both use Ivan's jet kits. The former requires the MB kit, the latter the original Slip-On kit.

I have seen a few posts on here about these kits and I'm thinking about treating myself next year. Could anybody tell me about the costs involved ( minus the can), will I need to pay a visit to a dyno center afterwards ?
