Contrary to good selling practice I'm going to list the bad points first. RHS has some minor fairing marks and indicator hole has 2 x 5 mm cracks. (Pictures if reqd.) PSH up to 16k (4 years then serviced by me), original suspension and chain & sprockets (it has had that easy life), minor corrosion on the exhaust, MOT has expired, few normal marks from use (she is 20 years old). RHS fork seal has slight weep. Sorned.
Now the good points.
Always garaged, never ridden in the winter, never wheelied, all original paperwork from new. In the last 1000 miles she has had new tyres (BT 016, brilliant tyres), battery (yuasa), brake pads, spark plugs, air filter (Honda), oil and filter (Honda), All old MOT certs, Datatag (paperwork) Datatool Veto Evo 3 + original 2 fobs (paperwork), both original keys, renntec sports rack, Remus Grand Prix Oval carbon can (not fitted), tinted screen (original supplied), mini indicators (originals supplied), hugger, scottoiler from new. Lives on an Oxford Optimiser, starts on the button and purrs like a Honda should.. She has never been in an accident or down the road, the levers are original and the engine cases unmarked. The engine is as it left the factory. Haynes manual.
I have a load of pictures that I can send should anyone be interested. Most of you will disagree with this but the engine makes a Fazer sound rough (controversial thing to say on a Fazer forum). These are an appreciating asset now but she is hardly ridden and that's what bikes are for. Medical issue forces sale but I'm in no rush, if you are interested the best thing to do is ring me and I will give a %100 honest appraisal of my bike, I have owned her for 20 years so this is a very reluctant sale.<blockquote>£1500 absolutely 100% fixed price.</blockquote></blockquote>

Anyone put extra weight inside their handlebars to damp out vibration, I've renthal ultra lows with RG end weights but there is still an annoying vibration there, I was thinking of kiln dried sand, lead shot or brass internal bar, approx. 13mm diameter by 150mm long. Any thoughts ?

I found the cheapest place to buy Givi mounts new was Amazon, the shop is in Italy if I remember rightly, they turned up well packaged just took a bit longer to arrive. 'They all come from Italy anyway ' was my reasoning ordering them from abroad and saving a few quid.

I'm after a tinted MRA touring screen, not a Varioscreen , the tall one, or a tinted Yamaha touring screen and a set of original Yamaha crash bungs, must be in excellent nick.

How can anyone contemplate voting for Mr. Corbyn, his IRA links outweigh any brilliance (though I think he is an ideological idiot) he may have. I may be biased after 26 years in the Armed Forces but some things cannot be forgiven. I'd lock him up.
Labour have no chance, they are not trusted or trustworthy and screwed up so many things last time. I'm not a 'Dyed in the wool' Tory voter, never went to University (got some O levels), come from a line of Joiners and Miners and am from County Durham, a labour stronghold, but wouldn't vote labour ever, I wouldn't let them run my bath, let alone a country. Imagine having Diane Abbot in charge of stuff, she's one of their top politicians, scary.
Not going to get into a keyboard warrior discussion about my views so have quoted myself along with a screenshot (of which there are a number) of a little light reading from the press. Please don't misquote me.

Why? Don't you like it?
Long gone, really good bike completely spoilt by horrendous screen turbulence, can't believe the press didn't make a lot of this, worst bike I've owned by far.
I rode an xlv1000 Varadero a few years back and at speeds above 50mph the screen turbulence was so bad it rattled my helmet and gave me a headache after about 10 miles.
I had a 2002 Mk1 Vara and a 2008 Mk 3 Vara and MRA Varioscreens on both helped a lot, my crossrunner had 4 different screens and a Powerbronze screen adjuster and I still sold it. It had factory panniers, fog lights and lots of other stuff, lost a fortune. I see Honda have now fitted an adjustable screen. Anyone thinking about buying one should have at least a 2 hour test ride.

If you are on your C90 you can always outrun them  . Not much catches the. 'Mighty Ninety'. Had a C70 myself back in the day, 90 was just too brutal for me at the time.

No cars behind me apart from him well back, none coming the other way, not sat on the tail of the car, (only a **** hits the car in front, as my IAM instructor bloke used to say, his version of the 2 second rule) no R.H. junction to worry about. A proper 'sweeping' overtake not pulling directly in front of the car (really pees me off when people do this then slow down). May (!) have exceeded the limit during the overtake (bikes are fast) but backed off when on my side of the road. The town I was travelling through is a bit, well I wouldn't live there, had a few police cars kicking about so I think I was wrong place wrong time, and I wasn't done just talked at so no harm done really; ironical that he, along with a line of traffic, was stuck behind the car soon after.

When stopped by the police you always have to say the following. They love it and on hearing this they will, 99 times out of 100 let you off.
1. I pay your wages.
2. Ain't you got nuffin better to do, like go and catch some real criminals.
3. Were you bullied at school or sumfink?.
They love all that! It's witty and original. :-P
I'll remember these for the next time and also to ask for Inspector Regan cos he's a propa coppa while checking my phone for texts. Bottom line is I should have left 'Dangerous Doris' or whatever her name was to her motor car meanderings and hung back.

a couple of points
you on the bike or in a car, if a bike then how were you stuck behind the learner for 5 miles (remember stepping stones?)
if he's non traffic (i.e. the car, as you don't know if he's ever worked traffic and knows the subtleties of traffic law) then stand your ground and get him to explain why it was wrong to do what you did?
if he had no speed gun type apparatus in the car then how could he say you were doing a certain speed let alone careless driving?
if he wasn't ex traffic then he probably doesn't even know about IAM or RoSPA, I got talking to two in a plod car who were clueless and queried why I'd want to even join RoSPA and do road safety
The days of the Courts taking a Coppers word over Joe Public has long gone, a lot of them are liars and Judges see right through them especially after a decent brief has tore them up for arse paper
I was on my Fazer 6 and was stuck behind the P driver and the cop car for 5 miles after I was stopped and had set off again on my ride. No way was I going to overtake the policeman that had just pulled me and given me a 'chat'. I haven't been pulled for roughly 15 years made it a bit of an odd feeling, especially if you think you are going to lose your clean licence when I wouldn't trust a lot of people on the road with a dodgem car, including the P driver, which incidentally the observant policeman said was a 'L' driver, obviously didn't point that out either.

Used to be the case that you had to be clocked over a certain distance, can't remember how far, but my indiscretion was momentary'ish. Bit more vigilance next time I think. Peed me off a bit him slagging my riding as I've passed the IAM test and done a few riding courses with the police ( these were brilliant) but obviously I thought better of pointing this out, observation skills need a bit of work

Got stopped today by a non traffic police car, I overtook a P driver on a long straight 30mph road who was doing about 25 mph and she was to be honest appalling, I'd followed her round a roundabout and she virtually right angled it at about 10 mph.As luck would have it there was a police car (non traffic) a bit behind me, cue blue lights followed by 'I could do you for 47mph and careless driving' but he gave me a lecture instead which was fair enough, seemed like a decent bloke, I'm sure I didn't do 47 and it was a safe overtake. Question is can a single, non traffic car policeman do you for speeding or anything else for that matter, I thought if there was no video evidence there had to be 2 witnesses.
Ironically further down the road I was stuck, in a 60 limit, behind the 'P' driver doing about 35mph for about 5 miles along with, you guessed it, the police car.

Hi,
I had the original bars with variobar risers, I had to get longer brake lines but the cables were ok.
After an accident last year I fitted renthal bars, medium road I think they are and I had to remove the bar risers as the cables were far too tight. You maybe lucky, but if the bike still has the original brake lines, it may well be worth getting longer/braided ones anyway? If you say you are a member of the FOC then HEL give you a decent discount, I think I got nearly 25%.
Thanks for the reply, how much longer did you get your brake lines, going to try my cut down ultra lows first though .

I'm going to cut the ends down by 20mm Gaz to see if they suit me better before I try high bars so sort of ruins their second hand value, I found Bykebitz the cheapest for new ones. Cheers Carl

Anyone fitted them and were all cables etc. long enough. Got ultra lows currently fitted and they are too low (oddly enough) and too wide for me.

Pictures (David Bailey doesn't needs worry) of my Chinese levers. They feel great but the adjusters are on maximum already. They feel a little bit 'loose' but I haven't got any expensive ones to compare them with. All in all well worth the money.
