Who does Fenati know?
« on: 12 March 2019, 08:58:23 pm »
Talk about a slapped wrist! after what can only be described as one of the most dangerous stunts in modern day racing which could easily have caused a major injury if not worse, this twat gets off with a couple of races ban! O.K. you don't want to see a great young talent banned for life but where's the deterrent in the future? this will always be used as a precedent for anyone trying to get away with a risky manoeuvre !Defo ban for a season IMO. :thumbdown

Read somewhere that he had completed anger management therapy throughout the winter. As you know he's been re-hired by his old team, but would have thought the FIM would have needed a lot of convincing to reinstate his license. A tremendous talent who is certainly on his last chance.

Don't forget he was also sacked from the VR46 team in 2016 for " behaviour issues" ,  so its not as if it was a one off.

It appears that the Dorna CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, wanted Fenati back in the championship. Fenati had retired following his 6 race ban and was continuing studies. Ezpeleta wanted him back, Fenati said he'd only return to his old team Marinelli Snipers, now renamed Team O, who had already hired Makar Yurchenko for 2019. Ezpeleta got that rider moved elsewhere to make way for Fenati, and when word got around Team O lost half their sponsorship. Their aim is to win Moto3 this year and take Fenati to MotoGP. Team O have hired some mental well being specialist to keep the team in a good mindset. Considering his previous misdemeaners, Fenati is very lucky, and hopefully will repay those who have put their faith in him.

He's certainly trying not to upset anyone,he misread a warning on his dash and took a long route which cost him a possible victory or at least a podium on Sunday but I guess we'll see. :\

Yeah, I saw that on Sunday. As they said, all down to poor communication within the team. His previous wrong doings aside, I did feel for him as he was well placed at the time. As you say, trying too hard to be good.
