New joiner looking to get back to riding!
« on: 06 April 2014, 11:03:01 am »
Hi Guys,

Just joined the forum. Have been riding bikes for 15 years now and owned the following Yamaha XJ600, Yamaha FJR, Honda CBR 600f and Triumph Street Triple R which I sold 2 years ago.... Did a couple of trips across Europe - Croatia twice one for my honeymoon, Germany, Czech Republic.

Now looking to get back to riding as last year I spent renting bikes for weekends and missed riding more badly. Fazer 1000 was a bike I tested a number of years back and this memory never faded....  Of the bikes I owned none was so versatile in terms of relaxed comfortable position (the reason I sold CBR 600f), nimble and light (FJR went) and decent fairing (Triumph was best handler of all but hard to live with on a motorway despite small fairing it had)

Looking for a nice low mileage example of Fazer 1000. I am based in Dublin but will happily travel for the right bike. That would be a great trip back home!

Best Regards to all
Paul

Hey Paul, welcome to Foc-u.....you are now officially a foccer :b

1st off...the foccer salute is left fist held up to helmet :lol

There's lots going on in biking at the moment, exciting times, lots of us are swapping & changing.....but something that stays constant is that lots & lots come back to the fazer & especially the original fazer thou.

It seems to do everything.

Could be a good time to look out for one especially since some owners could be tempted away to some of the modern offerings.

You just gotta wait for the right one to come along.

From what i've read you're best getting one that has had all the must have mods otherwise you'll end up spending more than you initially wanted to.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Welcome to the forum  :)

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hi Guys,

Just bought 2005 Fazer 1000 last Sunday from Mark here. Brought it over to Ireland and had a brilliant trip - sunshine all the way... Missed my 5pm ferry from Hollyhead! All in all very happy!
Commute now daily and no probs with getting up now! It's a pinnacle of my day!!
