If it passes close enough to Staffordshire, I'd happily collect it, take it to the cat and fiddle and around there, pass it on, and donate to the charity :)

Great Idea, we should keep it going :)

FZS600 / Re: Fan packed in....
« on: 26 August 2014, 12:19:07 pm »
The thermal switch for the fan is on the thermostat block (under the tank at the front rhs), but your fan sounds fine... they usually only come on if it's a hot day and you've had the engine running for 10 minutes without moving.
(Last time I changed the radiator I left the fan off completely... it gets in the way when refitting the rad and is never called upon to run, on the rare occasions I do have to wait in traffic for a long period in hot weather I turn off the engine anyway.)

Thanks fazerider, may as well wait until I strip clean it in winter, than mess with it now, might just take it off...never gets warm enough anyhow lol sure it can last the British summer weekend :)

Hi folks,
How is everyone?
I ride a 1998 fzs600 in black and live near Stoke on Trent.
I have had my fzs600 since passing my test in 2007, and although its done nearly 70k (40k with me sat on it!) its still got the power to pull pork off a pig.
In the process of doing a pre summer (i use that term as it may be sunny one weekend between here and September!) service, done the plugs, air filter oil etc, will be doing carb sync and clutch adjustment shortly, I'll let you all know when i've broke something lol!
I dont know much, i'm open to banter, if  I can help you out I will :)
Ride safe
