Do any of you lovely people know if you have to have a working speedo to pass your MOT? Mine still shows Mileage but not speed at the moment!

Put it this way, they don't take it for a test ride!

No mention of it at all in the MoT testers manual http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/m1i00000001.htm

Oddly enough, in the car test a speedo must be fitted and in good condition but isn't checked to see if it works or not http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_670a.htm

Well it's....... Passed . Yay! Few advisories but not the speedo even though it refused to show mileage today. The nice chap at the garage agreed with the mileage that flashed up momentarily yesterday:))
