Screen question
« on: 01 July 2013, 03:46:37 pm »
I read somewhere that fitting a gen2 screen to a gen1 is better than getting a dedicated gen1 screen, how much work is involved into fitting the screen into a gen1?

This is what I have done, fitted a gen 2 touring screen to my gen 1 , for me it is just so much more comfortable with no wind blast to my chest, not as many insects on my visor and rain droplets blasted off too. Can be noisier without earplugs in though. Was a bit tricky using another screen as a template as the curvature and rake was different. Found it easier to cut down with a band saw as it gives you more control.

That looks good, wonder if it's better than my vario.
