Just a quick question.......Do you ride with your baffles in or out. :rollin
I'm a biker, if you need to ask why, you wouldn't understand.

depends on what iam doing.....last blast with the london foccers the baffle was out,if going to work the baffles in,early start so dont want to upset the neighbours  ;) .....i do think with it out it sometimes draws a bit of unwanted attention from the boys in blue  ;)  but on the other hand those pesky cagers know when iam about  :)
One, is never going to be enough.....

Ride with my baffle out as well - I typically don't use it an unsociable hours so its not a real problem :)

Interesting article here (http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/966694-does-exhaust-baffle-removal-add-more-power-performance/page__view__findpost__p__10105161).  I don't know how relevant it is to a Fazer but I'd imagine it to be true.  To paraphrase the article at low revs removing the baffle could be disadvantageous but it's always better at wide open throttle.
Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one.  Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.

Interesting article indeed - I'd never really bothered to consider the change in performance characteristics when removing the baffle. I remove it for the noise  :evil

lets all be honest here....we remove the baffle for the noise  :) .....i do think my thou runs a lot smoother with the standard exhaust, with the scorpion can on its smoother with the baffle in especially on idle......being an old foccer i think i perfer a smooth quiet ride......ooooooer this should be in the naughty section  :lol

Baffles in on the road and out on the track would seem to be the standard and best course of action for me.  Best to give the coppers no more reason to do you and I think a 0-60 time of 3.6s (and filtrage) is a lot more impressive than the noise of a phat boy Peugeot/whatever and/or a Harley.

......being an old foccer i think i perfer a smooth quiet ride......

It'd take more than a muffler for that  :lol

Out ,
due to it firing out of the can whilst bouncing it off the limiter for the benefit of the roadside crowds coming back from Le Mans Motogp last year  :evil

My 600 doesn't have one and is quiet enough, but the thou HAS to have one. Mivv short can I have fitted is loud enough with the baffles in, especially when I set off for work at ten past 5 in the morning!

Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!

I have said this before, I think it is a stupid idea to run with the baffles out. I like to ride nice interesting roads which have lots of villages like the road from Market Harborough to Melton Mowbrey it is a popular route and when ever the sun comes out it is heavily used by motor bikes they don t speed through the villages, but with the baffles out they sound faster to the residents and also they are noticed even by people watching their tv. or in their rear garden  trying to enjoy a quiet time. So the more your noticed the more people will be anti and looking for ways to stop you. So to just pass through only noticed by those using the road means no body is gunning to stop motorcycle traffic.

Standard exhaust. I don't really see the point of aftermarket cans on a road bike.

Modified baffle :lol Hows that then! Tubes been shortened and perforated a bit, was too quiet in and too loud out so found a nice compromise.
Sounds nice without being offensive and everybody's happy :)
Used to have a Suzuki RF900 with a Redline can, baffle in was quite quiet but ran fine, baffle out sounded awesome  ;)  but wouldnt rev past10k. Pants.
Its better to ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake.

If you ride in heavy traffic then I think the more noise you can make the safer you are because all the sleepy car drivers wake up and check their mirrors.

I know what you mean, went to LeMans a few years ago! Awesome times. Bloody mad Frechies with the kill switch on full throttle.
