Had a bit of a tidy in the garage ...
« on: 05 April 2013, 05:58:15 pm »
When we bought our place in Spain 11 years ago, the underbuild garage was one of the things that persuaded me to buy.  We saw a few show houses with tiled underbuilds and that's what I fancied doing with mine but it's taken me a few years to get around to it.

Since November last year, though, I've been on my hands and knees most days tiling all around the outside of the house and - as if that wasn't enough - I then pressed on to do the garage.  Outside was about 100 sq mtrs, the garage a mere 80 sq mtrs.  ;)

Anyhow, job finished this afternoon - at last!  :D

and after:

I doubt it will ever be this clean and tidy again!  :lol

Nice.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

That's a showroom not a garage! And plenty of room to get more Fazers in there.

I'd kill for a nice big well lit bench like that. And, oo, you've got a compressor. Now I'm really jealous!

And there's enough room for me to wheel mine round from next door to get my new tyres fitted when they arrive  :lol .  Having seen the tiling for myself, both outside and down in the garage, I can confirm it's a top notch job all round. Good choice of tiles by the way.....not jealous of the underbuild at all!!

indeed a very nice job mike. I have to say though I have seen those tiles an awful lot over the years in spain !They must get through millions of the buggers. :lol

Has construction industry rejuvenated at all over where you are m8 ? It was very dire....

You'll have seen similar, Jon, but I've not seen these anywhere else over here since we arrived over 9 years ago.  And you won't be seeing them laid new, either, as the manufacturer changed the pattern and colour completely just recently.  Fortunately I was able to finish the garage with a couple of sq mtrs to spare. :)

The construction industry is still in recession overall but there's some new builds going up where we live and these are selling, surprisingly, considering the glut of new-built, not-yet-occupied holiday homes on the market and the retreating expats flogging off their older places at bargain-basement prices.

Think I'll just stay where I am for now ... ;) :lol

Cheers, mate!

Mike
