Fairing Rivet
« on: 17 March 2013, 12:08:54 am »
Hi all

I broke my fairing rivets and now the bloody thing rattles like mad. Anybody know what size rivets I need? :)

Rivets? Got any pics?

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Lazy boy... Haha!

It is a right pain if the fairing buzzes though! Not had it on my bike but I had a heat shield on my old mk3 golf that used to buzz like mad till I figured out where it was coming from.

Its a bloody nightmare! I had them off to tweak the camera mounts on the bike, now the recording has a buzzing in it the whole time :)

if it moves and it shouldn't then cable ties/duct tape, if it doesn't move and it should then wd40. Engineering has never been easier. haha!

Anyone found them on ebay? Don't know what search words to use. Mine are all broken and the inner fairings are stylishly held in with white cable ties. :D
