Ignition barrel siezed up this morning when I was trying to get home after a 12 hour night shift!!! I knew it was dodgy, but this was just siezed solid. Luckily a biker mate of mine arrived with a can of de-icer and flooded the barrel with it. 10 minutes of wiggling and twisting the key I managed to get the ignition on.
Soaked it in WD40 when I got home, but can't trust the bugger now.  :(
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

sanded down my downpipes because i'd painted them and it had run a bit in some places. Just need to give them another, thin, coat of paint then maybe a small sand and polish then they'll be done! primed fairing bracket so that's ready for painting and depending on how that process goes i'll be ready to finish sanding and painting my lower forks!  8)

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hey Liroka. Looking at the fzs600 section recently it seems that you're the only person to get the old disc off without destroying the wheel :lol What method did you use to get the old allen head bolts out?

I got all 3 of my discs off, the front ones were ok, just one that rounded off so cut a slot in the head of the bolt and used an impact driver with flat blade screwdriver head to remove it. The back one was a bugger and only 2 bolts came out ok, tried the method I used on the sticky front bolt but the heads split in half and half of the head went flying. So I used a chisel and hammer on the half of the bolt head remaining and tapped it around until it came lose. Needless to say I'll be replacing all the bolts when I put the discs back on!

Haha, it was a bit of a pain but only took about 10 minutes more than it would have if they'd come out like they should. Could have been a lot worse  8)

Fitted Renthal sprockets after going to Halfords to buy a 36mm socket. Interestingly, the Renthal rear was a third of the weight of the steel one which was on there. Then fitted 'go faster' rim tape......  :)
