Seat for 98-03 model
« on: 07 February 2013, 10:29:27 am »
Hi all

Does anyone have a used seat for sale (fzs600 98 - 03 model)? Can you post to Australia?
What price, including postage?

Cheers
Jon

This would be better in the For Sale & Wanted section

Have you tried anything like eBay? I haven't seen many seats around on here...

Thanks for the responses, and sorry about posting in the wrong section.

I had looked on ebay but only had one result and that seller wasn't responding to email. However that was ebay AUS, not UK- and as your link shows there are a few seats available, although the biggest issue seems to be postage to Aus.

I'll follow up those links, but if anyone has one for sale 'privately' I'd be looking to spend between 50- 100 pounds depending on condition.

Cheers
Jon

You should pick up a good seat for £40 but it could cost you another £50-£60 to post it, i'd say.

Have you no seat completely?? If you had the base, you could get it recovered and even tailored to suit yourself.

@packie

Postage is a killer, however might be a necessary evil, although I haven't found one that will ship to Aus.

No I don't have a seat- I bought the rolling chassis from a wrecker and they couldn't find the seat - they said they'd call around. I later find out the bike is actually quite rare here (it seems) and seats are nowhere to be found.

Actually I've pretty much given up. It's a bit ridiculous but I'll have to fibreglass my own base.

Cheers

Hi.

I have a spare seat in good condition off my 2000 model. I would like £25 for it and I can take it packaged up to the post office and get a quote for you if you'd like.

I got one of these covers but it did not fit, it wasn't wide enough. I sent pictures to the seller and had my money back though. I do not know if it was just this one or every cover is wrong. :\
