Been sat here for a while now, pondering my next move in life and I am at the stage where I cant even be arsed to go out on the bike.  Is this it?  Have I reached the end of my biking days?  Recently moved, still unemployed but have a new love but still cant be bothered even just to slip on my lid and jacket and go out for a blat!  WTF is wrong with me??  When I had my zed12 it was all I could do NOT to go out and it was like that when I first got the fazer so whats gone wrong??  Perhaps the three year break I had from it is playing its hand, dunno.


Anyone else get like this?

Yes. I did about 3 years ago just after I had bounced down the road and hit a brick wall.
Put it away in the shed for a few days and see how you feel then.

Seriously tho, your mojo is near the reserve. (1) A change is somtimes as good as a rest so another bike may be the kick start you need, but I appreciate that that may be out of the question until you find work.
                                                            (2) Get a bloody grip man. you HAVE a bike, you HAVE a new woman in your life, you HAVE a roof over your head. Get out of bed and think of the thousands and more who would love to be in your position, jump on your bike and SMILE the miles away, job done !

Yea I walked away from biking at 23 and didnt have a bike for 7 years ,but it was more 50% bored of bikes breaking down and 50% only enough money to run a car for work.

millefella, tap a tenner, convert it to fuel and go out. you know it makes sense. follow that up by doin nasty things to yer new burd in the kitchen, the hall, the toilet, the outside landing, all the windows and blinds open, wearing a cowboy hat, then go sleep, wake up, sign on, and then do it all again

Never not had a bike for longer than a week or two (apart from a 2 year stretch on a XJR trike) but have had the same feelings now and then, normaly i change bikes to something ODD and mad, like suddenly swapping to a 600cc single trial bike or a chopper, or a classic bike, 2 stroke..... just something totaly away from what you normaly ride. sometimes i hate it (the CB750 f2 springs to mind) other times it compleatly refresh's the batterys (the GT 750 kettle springs to mind) but a change can offten be as good as a break.

And been unemployed myself for 6 years now so know how much things can get on top of you, finaly im at the point i can look for a job again, but sadly its a time when they are not around either lol.

Couldnt tie the knot on the rope, even with the aid of your picture Sooooooo I took the bike out.  8 hours in fact and all is right with the world now.  Thanks for that.
