Cans I use any H4 bulbs, particularly the "up to 90% brighter" bulbs, or are there some to avoid?
Flee bay had HID kit for about £50

Should I glue it or something? I have not done HID just wired both in. Sorry for confussion
H7 HID is the answer. It has a plastic "collar" that can be easily cut to fit just right in the Fazer's H1 original spot. The metal clip holds it in place. Will see about the brightness tonight, but even in daylight it looks a lot brighter than the H4 on hi beam. Should be nice.So anyone looking for easy fit HID for FZS - go for H7 in place of H1 bulb - it works. Or hold on for a few more months to see how mine holds.
Has anyone had a go with LEDs?
He did say "cheapest, best" ... so I guess a HID kit is the one. If he'd said "cheapest, easiest" it would be upgraded bulbs. Anyhow, I'm pissed off with being blinded at night so I've ordered one of these for 22 of your Earth currency units.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6000K-HID-H4-3-Ballast-Motorcycle-Yamaha-PW-TW-C164-/170664547078?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27bc665306 I'll let you know how I get on.
Instead of LED upgrade I've put an LED running light under the headlights and it looks great.
