Hi,yeah sometimes they make the link pipe smaller,if its a tight fit then you wont need any gasket, the clamp should make a decent seal.

yep after market cans rarely use a gasket on the link pipe. should be a tight fit.

push it on further. you have a clamp around it? you can use some clear silicone sealant on the join to help seal it.

The joys of aftermarket fitment :'( Try some copperslip on the link pipes, that may help with the tight fit. ;) don't worry about the gasket, mine hasn't one either, does blow a tad, but not much to worry about.
Hope this helps. :)

Had the same problem with a  link pipe i bought a few years back was a bas"*rd to fit as it was far to tight,in the end i had to cut along the slots on it and bend them outwards, pushed the link pipe on bent it back in and tightened the clamp never blew one bit job done.

failing that ,
try cutting a slot down the pipe  by about 25mm.
this should make it easier to fit.
and clamp it tight!
