Working far too hard at the moment sadly - haven't had time for any bike runs so the blade hasn't been out the garage yet. Am hoping for a quiet weekend this weekend to get some time to give the Fazer a good clean (manky from commuting) and to give the blade a one over before blowing some cobwebs away!

I'm for the Dumfries egg run tomorrow, forecast showers in morning but sunny afternoon. We leave Thornhill at one and meet the rest in Dumfries for the run into town centre.
Not too exciting but a wee excuse to get the bike out  :thumbup

Now then, I've just popped in to the intro's section and there seems to be a fair few Scottish members kicking about.

Would anybody be up for a week night meet somewhere south of Glasgow within sensible reach for foccers who work till 5 ? Food at venue while we do our shit talking would save time. Lanark was the last meet but please feel free to suggest another place to meet.

Let's us know your thought's, old and new members apply within, spread the word via anyway you know.

This will end up a short notice event as the weather is just shit and unpredictable just now.

I'm up for it, so long as I'm dayshift and the weather is ok. Up for a weekend meet as well at some point, as it saves on some of the rushing about.

I'm coming from Dumbarton, but willing to meet anywhere within reason.

I'm up for that Russ preferably Wed or Thurs nights better for me  :thumbup

As Russ has said there is a fair few Scottish members kicking about so if anyone is interested in a wee meet-up at weekends or thru the week stick a post up on this thread and lets get a few gatherings sorted before the year ends.

Let's hope the weather turns for the better and we get a few more good days or even better weeks.

On another forum I use to be on they use to get a Scottish gathering on a weekend meet early plan a route and disappear for the day stopping for lunch and then riding in the afternoon til we said our goodbyes, we've had rides up as far as Mallaig, Fort Augustus or Oban via the Appin road taking in the Kinlochleven loop great road just a thought would be up for summit like that, don't really see the point in meeting somewhere for a chat when we could be having some fun on the bikes

I'm up for that, we have some of the worlds greatest motorcycling roads in the routes mentioned on our doorstep......I love going up though Loch Lomond, Tyndrum, Glencoe, Fort William then on to Mallaig and back down via Oban to Inveraray and home again.........some great roads and great scenery too

The post I put up was to reignite the meet we used to have for a catch up and new members to meet up with the old so to speak.
Personally weekends are hard for me as I work 7 days and see my son every other weekend which doesn't give much time for the other people close to me.

You can fire on and do what you want, but I'll say one thing, if a weekend run is what you have been craving for why didn't you put a thread up saying so ?

That's fair enough if u can't do a Saturday or Sunday ride, then a midweek is better for u, I wasn't having a go was just putting my 2pence worth forward

For me and some of the others it's more about the chin wag than the run. The reason we picked Lanark was it's even distance between most of the interested members and the road from Douglas to Cumnock, great road and easy for people to peel off for home.

I know you weren't having a go, I'm just a grumpy Foccer  ;)
