SC30 CB1000 wisdom?
« on: 02 July 2019, 12:14:04 pm »

Anyone have any knowledge of these bikes they would like to share please?

Particularly what's parts availability like these days? What to look for when considering a purchase? Any known gremlins?
is it clean enough?

Some were imports, some were official UK bikes.

I have two of the 400 versions and they are great little machines, grey import only. I was outbid on an ebay CB1000 yesterday so wanted to know all I could before buying as there doesn't seem to be an (easily findable at least) english forum for them. The 400s have quite a few parts that are no longer available and although the Chinese pick up the slack quality can be variable.

Having ridden a Speed Twin recently I was reminded of just how good 100 horsepower is for the road, the CB1000 is 97 and, I figure, should be big, stable and comfortable, much like my Fazer.
is it clean enough?
