Which helmet?
« on: 13 June 2019, 07:12:46 pm »
Hi I'm in the market for a new helmet and just wondering what fellow fazer riders are using. I bought a HJC RPHA last year and the wind noise is spoiling my enjoyment, are there any good quiet helmets out there for under £300?

Which HJC RPHA did you get? If the got the 10 or 11 then yes its horrendously noisey because it's a race lid. If you get the 70 then that's amazingly quote as it's the sport touring one.
Other than that the only experience I have is with a Shark Speed-R which I found to be adequately quiet.
Cant remember if its Arai or Shoei that make the quietest helmet but it costs big bucks and is fugly as sin

I think it was the 10, I was riding an aprilia rsv and the wind noise was horrendous. I have just bought a lovely fazer 1000 and I was hoping the noise level might of lowered being in a different riding position but no such luck

I've just bought a Schuberth C4 pro with the advanced SC1. FOC me that was pricey. Interest free from Infinity. It's quieter than my Arai but I still wear ear plugs
Sent from my villa in the South of France.

Hi I'm in the market for a new helmet and just wondering what fellow fazer riders are using.

IMO it doesn't matter what helmet anyone else is wearing, there's only two factors that are important:

1) It fits you comfortably and securely and

2) It has a good SHARP safety rating

Once you've got those two bits sorted out, then start looking at noise levels etc :thumbup

Infinity have the Shoei NXR at a knockdown price. Great helmet and low noise but try it on 1st.

More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.

got to agree with that, I just bought a Shoei GT Air and love it.. it does whistle slightly with visor open.. & to caveat it I ride a Triumph Tbird Night Storm!
It ain't what you ride, it's who you ride with!!!
