Fz1 ebay
« on: 30 May 2019, 07:41:58 pm »
Hi been looking at fazers on ebay and this pops up ; https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401773119047
Just wondering what people's thoughts were on this?
Would it be an easy fix?
What could of caused this?
Looks like an electrical fire of some sort can't see any other damage ?

For a starter it looks like the bodywork has been painted which would suggested its been dropped by the previous owner. The frame has scuff marks on it, suggest its also hit the ground - if the frame has any cracks - walk away and then lastly WTF happened to the underseat compartment its like it caught or was set on fire - you would have to replace ALL the eletricals on the rear of the bike and possibly the main loom. Imho, this bike would only make sense to another FZ1 owner who could strip it for spares.

Just keep an out for a medium mileage FZS1000 on here, such as the following - http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?topic=24707.0 and its close enough to your budget that you mentioned to me in your pm. And it looks like Mustang also has a FZS1000 for sale.

But I know you said you wanted a blue one, and as all the ones on Autotrader and piles of shit I had a look on ebay -

Yeah I think I will leave that one alone spen. There doesn't seem to be much about at the minute, certainly not in my neck of the woods.

aint it always the way. You'll get one mate, but its definitely worth waiting for the right bike. you won't pay much more for a minter than you would for summat fairly doggy..its just how it goes with these bikes. the one thing I can say for definite is that it will be worth the wait when you get it...
