I'm stumped as to how it fixes to the engine to frame bolt as their is quite a gap inbetween (not as big as picture shows as i had to get my phone in there to get a pic for you guys) i've seen this fitted with crash bungs any specific size i need?anyone fitted one of these ??

Hi this site has a kit for about 17 Euros, It looks like a fairly simple job if you can get a hold of some decent bolts and some Aluminium flat bar or similar. Offer it up to the bike to see where it fits best, it may be designed to fit the engine mounts.

Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.

Thanks, i saw those but decided against them, someone was selling one a few years back and uploaded pictures so i'll post them on the thread in case someone else decides to buy the same one as i did.

Yep looks like a direct copy of the Yamaha one, which I have. I'll take mine off later today and post photos of the brackets.

I think it's pretty straightforward, so i bought a copy TCS original Yamaha belly pan pan from Poland that was supplied with no mounting brackets, and I was stuck as to how it fixed on the bike.

Low and behold some kind foccer  took some pictures of his that he was selling a few years back so I screenshotted them to give someone else an idea if they decided to buy the same one.

Looking at the bottom frame mounts there's not many things to buy on ebay like that so I opted for 'P Clips'  and will use rubber damping spacers so it doesn't vibrate.
The top ones can be made out of 2bits of steel flat bar

OK here goes. The mounting brackets that come with the official Yamaha belly pan.
Firstly a piccy with the bellypan fitted. As you can see, the front attachment uses bolts through two round spacers, which match the size of the cutout of the bellypan. The rear fittings are bolts through rubber grommets.

Front mountings bolt onto two 'T' brackets which themselves are bolted to the frame. Looks like they use the crashbar mountings. Bolts through to the frame have spacers between the frame and the bracket, but not sure whether they are original part of the bike. Both sides have a round end 40mm in diameter. The length of the 'T' on the right side is 48mm, but longer on the left at 70mm.
Here's the right side

The rear mountings use clamps that go round the lower frame. Clamps have a thread accepting a simple small bolt through the bellypan. Both sides seem identical, with the threaded part about 20mm long.
Right side shown.

One final word of warning about the official Yamaha bellypan.

If the bike goes over on the left side, the bellypan slices through the coolant hose, like a knife through butter.

How do I know this  :'(

Thanks mtread for all the pics and dimentions of everything i really appreciate the length you have gone to to help me out, its kind people like you that make this a great site

Hmmm there looks like quite a bit of difference with your pics and the pics i found, yours has better stronger mounting plates at the front, not sure im going to be able to replicate that front mount without quite a bit of money thrown at it.Maybe it was a bad idea to buy this bellypan off ebay without proper mounting brackets?
I thought about "p clips" on the bottom (back) with a rubber isolating spacer and a metal bracket at the front but i suppose that isn't going to workbugger

No problem Simon. Rear ones should be simple to fabricate, but the front ones do need to attach to the two frame mounting bolts somehow, and bolt through that big hole in the bellypan which is midway between. Otherwise the bellypan wont line up properly. Someone else on here might have some ideas.

Presumably their main market for this Polish copy is people who have trashed their original, and therefore still have all the brackets and bolts.
