Bank o' carbs
« on: 02 November 2018, 08:14:39 pm »
ive bid eighty quid on a clean (9000 miles) bank of carbs. I figure if I get them for that its worth servicing and Ivanising them and keeping me stock set as spares. eighty quid don't seem a lot when it cost £120 for four jets and needles and a coupla drill bits.. lol..(I know, I know...im paying mr ivan for the development..) :lol

Sound investment and I'd say about a 1:8 chance that they've been 'Ivanized' already.

Now there's a thought to conjure with. :)

It'd be nice but it was a one "sensible old owner" who cleaned it more than rode it mike ( and then binned it) but you never know 😉

I did quite a few installations for owners who fit that description, Paul.  ;)

Based on the number of Gen 1s reputedly sold in the UK, I'd say I've worked on close to 20% of them.  So, not bad odds of you striking lucky. :)
