Hi folks just bought one
« on: 29 October 2018, 03:52:55 am »
so I’m the proud new owner of a stock 2004 thou with 44k up it  :)

This will be my second bike after passing my test in 2016. First bike was a my09 tracer that I did 13k on in 18 months

I’m expecting a totally different experience with this older inline 4, with no abs or traction control, so I’m going to have to learn to respect the power and the brakes very quickly  :eek

I pick her up next Saturday  :lol

Welcome to the forum Stinka. Looking forward to your observations when you start riding your latest machine, and seeing a photo.

Thanks mate

Im expecting a very different power delivery. The mt09 was absolutely mental. Very intense power delivery from nothing in any gear. Would wheely for fun at 90mph in 3rd or 4th if you just rolled off and back on the throttle. Mates r1 and gsxr750 has a job catching it out of bends on short twisty roads due to the barking mad midrange.
I think this bike will have slightly smoother power in the low end building to a more intense pull in the top end ...

Whatever it brings, I can’t wait to get back on the road after a summer of no bike

Do you ride all year round, as I do ? If so, probably worth treating the bike with ACF 50 or FS 365, to ward off the worst of the road salt. It does make a big difference. The gritters were out here three days ago.
