The usual insurance renewal nonsense
« on: 25 October 2018, 01:09:56 pm »
Last year's Carole Nash multi bike (3) quote - £279 (after some 'negotiation')
This year's renewal quote - £324 (+16%/£45)
So I go online and get a quote from Bennetts - £275
Ring up Carole Nash and the price falls to £285 (including the usual CN extras)
Why do I have to do this every year?

Incidentally I looked at insuring the 3 bikes separately and they added up to.... £274. So not sure this save money through multi, because you can only ride one bike at a time, actually works.

Looking forward to November 2019  :\

Just helped another Italian fella at work sort out his first ever car insurance over here.

He couldn't grasp why the same company with his identical details was £100 different on two comparison sites?

I explained it's because they're robbing bastards.
He understood that.

I got a renewal from Bennett for nearly £300 so I shopped about and got more-or-less the same cover from MCE (via Compare The Market) for just over £100.

The day my insurance ran out Bennetts then emailed me to say they could do me cover for £85.

Well, if I do go back to Bennetts in the future I know what I'll be doing - letting it expire to get the 70% discount!

Its odd but this year just now Bennetts have sent me a renewal quote only £9.83 more than last years at just over £100 zero voluntary and £250 compulsory excess so for once this year I have gained a few hours of my life by not having to go through the usual sh1t. --now what to do with that time-----is it raining :D
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.
