Starter delay
« on: 30 August 2018, 10:10:53 am »
Don't use the bike much these days, but went to start her up other day, pressed the start button........nothing. then all of a sudden she span over and started.
Wondering if this was a fluke, did it again, and again, and again.
There is a good 5s delay when you press the start button. I can hear the relay energise straight away, but doesn't send any power to the starter for a bit.
So what do we reckon then?

I’d try and measure the 12v directly on the starter as a first step.

It's just the starter relay needing replacing.
Six quid on eBay. Had the same problem with mine.
