For sale : Front brake discs Gen1 1000
« on: 26 April 2018, 11:56:25 am »
I have for sale a pair of front brake discs for a Gen1 1000. Made by Metal Gear, an Australian company, I bought them a few years ago and only used them for about 4-500 miles before I sold the bike. They have been stored in their boxes and are in near new condition, I have taken some pics to give an idea of condition.
They will need thoroughly degrease before use.
£100 including postage in the UK. No offers please.

daft question but if they were on the bike, you put them on for a reason so why remove them when selling the bike? Its a bit like putting the original oil in.

Putting the standard exhaust back on I can understand but brake disks??

If the bike got damaged and he only bought the discs then is makes sense to punt them on.

My original wheels were in to be powder coated, the guy decides to go on holiday and not tell me. I was about to to the NC500 although it wasn't called that back then, rather than miss my trip I bought the discs for a spare wheel I had and used them for about a fortnight until I got my original wheels back.
Needless to say I didn't use that particular company again.
