WANTED: 2001 FZS600 fork stanchion
« on: 17 April 2018, 02:29:53 pm »
Hi Guys,

Just scraped through my Fazer's first MOT with a warning that my left fork is slightly bent (enough to pull under braking, but not enough to affect riding, hence scraping through).

Does anyone have a single (straight, naturally) stanchion that will fit a 2001 FZS 600?

Cheers.

Got the bottom sliders and all the internals but not the stanchion. Might get lucky and find a full leg on eBay for a£100 otherwise I think the chrome stanchion are about that much each.

Some, including myself might wonder why I commented as I'm no help....

Thanks for taking the time to reply though.

Have you considered getting it straightened? there are several companies who do it if you google fork straightening

Cheers Vinny, I did look into it but as the fazer's my only form of transport I can't have it off the road for more than a day.

Pricewise, looks about the same to get a new stanchion anyway, plus wouldn't a straightened one be weaker?
