Lost horn and right turn signal
« on: 15 February 2018, 04:27:42 pm »
So been doing some bits on the bike today and long story short a stray wire has bridged the 3 prong plug I believe is there for Yamaha alarm system and the positive on the battery.

Since this the horn and left turn signal has stopped working iv checked the flasher relay that's fine and all fuses are fine but still nothing

Was the stray wire attached to your hand when this happened ?  :lol :lol

Was it just a visual check or a meter check you did, sometime they look like they are ok, but blown.
Check all the fuses as you could have blown any of these three the Backup, the Signal or the Ignition fuses.

Does the bike start and run? Are this standard indicators or LED?

The dash indicator bulbs work in parallel with the main indicator bulbs.
If standard indicators, remove the indicator relay, bridge the pins in the connector. Turn on the ignition, switch on the indicators, check if the indicator lights come on and stay on until switched off again. Check the horn also.

What happens when you press the Hazard light switch?

Give horn a tap they rust up and stop working. Check the 2 connections on the horn for Voltage.
