Looks like its had a low speed tumble on the right side. Im always curious as to what these 100 point checks are. I maintain my own bikes, always have, and I reckon Id struggle to find 100 things to check

Mmmmmm...described as "very good condition" but you can clearly see damage to fairing and rear grab handles  :rolleyes
One, is never going to be enough.....

Not to mention the crash bung has been scrapped, so it not just a fall against a wall or fence :rolleyes

They probably meant that very good condition apart from the damage caused by that incident. Yes, I can see grab handles, crashbung and obviously the fairing. There is one thing that worries me though if you look closely at the oil filter you can clearly see that the bolt is all rusty? To me it means that oil has not been changed for a while but maybe that’s just me. The rest of the bike looks quite well tbh.
Finally, is this the right price for this bike? Providing everything else is in order, would you pay 2k for it?

If the FS6 looks as if it is in good nick and to be honest the damage that is evident is not serious and could be sorted for £100, Fairing repair and respray, same with the grab handle. The crash bung could be tided up with a bit of fine Wet & Dry. All things that anyone with a bit of nonce could do themselves.

I don't think almost 2K for it is that far off the mark, I paid that exact amount for my FZS 600 (2003) 4 or 5 years ago, get £150 knocked off for the damage and you would be good to go (Shame it's the inferior FZ6 though) :rolleyes :eek

No I haven’t bought it yet just put small deposit for them to hold the bike for me until I am able to come round and have a look (in a weeks time).

Excuse my ignorance but but do you mean by inferior? I know it’s not s2 but still the 98bhp version isn’t it? Or am I wrong?

There are still pro's and cons on both sides though so i wouldn't be too put off.

Thanks for the links!  So they all are 98bhp? That I did not know!
Now I am a lilltle confused as to a ‘normal’ fz6 or a s2 version. The bike from ebay is on 06 plates but has black engine and frame? I know it is not an s2 by looking at the clocks and brake calipers, well what is is then? Is it pure aesthetics or some advanced version of the 04 model although not quite s2 yet?

Thank you, all clear now
Sorry about all these questions, I am quite new to fz6 world (used to own fzs600 few years back though), for the past 3 years I have owned and enjoyed gsxr1000 k3 (will be part exchanging it), so all your help and answers are indeed much appreciated!

I did give up on that fazer in the end. But now I see this from superbike factory

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F362188271176
2009 with only 4500 miles on it. Did phone them up and there is only one stamp in a service book at 506 miles.
The bike is 9 years old and had just one service, is it something that would bother you at all?

only one in the book.
Based on miles its not really done enough mileage to justify a dealer service.

Yes that’s true. Is there a significant risk involved in buying such low mileage bike?

Odd. Advertised as a 2009 bike. My understanding was that all S2 models came with ABS. This bike appears to have a non S2 front wheel and I cant spot the ABS sensors or rings. Also appears to have been fitted with blue spots, or someones coloured them in. There are questions to ask the dealer before buying this one. Tad overpriced too, but negotiable. Also check out the red staining on the front left disc

Polish                                                      I have searched a lot of internet areas and, unfortunately, I have not found too many statements in which users of these machines would compare them with each other. I have financial means to buy FZ6, but I'm still not convinced if it's worth it, because I like the FZS600 too, and comparing dry facts, I find it hard to see one of these models. For FZS600 in good condition, after 2000, you need to give around 9,000, while for FZ6 around 13.The question then arises whether it is worth adding the 4000, which accounts for almost half the value of FZS600. In addition, FZ6 will certainly lose more than FZS Of course, motorcycles are a passion, but I must admit that it is not the only one in my life and I am not entirely convinced about whether it is worth adding. That is why I would like someone who used, or had the opportunity to ride these motorcycles, to show how different they are and whether they would add 4000 to a newer model?Basically, I mean:- the easiness of lodging in winemaking- driving fun- impressions from city driving and tourism (also in two)- protection against air pressure- some very significant differences (except that it is two other motorcycles ...)I think that such a comparison will be useful not only to me, but to others looking around for Fazer.

All new S2 models from 2008 should have had abs but I suppose it could have been old stock or even a pre reg? And I think the red on the disc is just a reflection

I believe from 2006-2007 all the S2 FZ6's had the Blue Spot (4 Pot) calipers the same as the FZS600 and the R's.
The first Gen FZ6 had 2 pot sliding calipers, the two pots were on the outside of the caliper with a fixed inner brake pad.
