Does the black base slide over some sort of clip in the ceiling rather than turning it, try pushing it from various angles.

This is like something out of The Crystal Maze  :lol

Like Darssi, I feel short changed, let down and discarded, all our thoughts on this topic and waking early in the mornings to rush to our desktops and laptops, some to their smartphones to be told 'it was a clip on type'
Like has been said not even a fucking photo of said clip or clips, that's the thanks we get for all out concerns, worrying and sleepless nights because of this problem, how fucking selfish can the man get.  :lol :rolleyes :eek

The old ceiling light clips are now being used to attach the leg shields to the C90....

I am, C90 completely stripped, swing arm off, front forks off, and the frame and panels all sand blasted, all back to nice clean metal ready for a complete respray, all new cables, front brake, throttle, choke, speedo. New back shocks, new bush set for the link front forks, new battery. Clutch plates and gasket set. New oil sieve/filter, air filter, two new Continental Conti tyres and tubes, all the paint and clear coat, plus the heat resistant engine case spray paint.
Still to purchase brake shoes back and front, hopefully that will be it.
Looking to be riding it in about May.

Yes you certainly have been!.

Are the parts easy to get?.

I think they stopped selling them here in the emissions cull of 2003 didn't they?

I bet they're still available in other markets though.
