What looks and operates best on the faser???

Fuzzys mirror mod,
handlebar mirrors and the fairing mounts blanked (were can i get blanks)
or bar ends and again blank fairing mounts.

This is due to out bog standard mirrors being bog standard crap lol the view is of my elbows and i need to see not only traffic behind me but the daughter is now a rider and follows us to rallies etc (obvoiusly now need to make sure dont lose her)

answers on a postcard  :b :b :b

any pics of the options be helpful too

Fuzzyone mirror mod as it's free, although you need to perform delicate surgery to retain the mirror's 'flip-up' ability

Did the mirror mod but they then showed too much of my hands. My bike has Renthals fitted so could be why? Tried the extender blocks but they just move the mirrors away from the rider not out so took them off. I even tried mirror mod + blocks but no joy. Gave up in the end.  :(

I did try the bar end mirrors but affter a week i took them off. i just couldnt get used to them. smaller area of mirror and the position is much closer to you so it felt odd looking there.
was a neat look though and from a style point of view i liked it.

I have the fuzzygoth mirror mod (non pullin type) with renthal bars and it works well for me. im pretty broad but still get a good view behind.
i keep trying to get a realy realy cheap pair of mirrors to have a crack at changing them to the fold in fuzzy mod. but im not to bothered by it. it hasnt caused me any issues yet.
styling wise it is a little odd. i dont notice it now but if its parked beside a normal fazer it dose stand out a fair bit lol. and offten when on display at the bmf shows (normaly the only gen 1 1000 on the stand) ppl will notice the mirrors have been changed.

i havent tried adding handle bar mirrors on, dont like the idea of the look on that, i also dont think it would solve the issue any better than OE mirros

do the gen 2 mirrors fit the gen 1 bolt holes? and if so are they any longer?

the best way to appreciate our standard mirrors is to remove them completely, go for a ride and then put them back on. they are then marvelous!
is it clean enough?

Could someone with bar end mirrors post up a pic and also where did you get them from, ebay have some cheap ones from Hong Kong but not sure on the quality / looks. Also where should I look for the blanking plates?

Since fitting the short Yamaha street fighter screen the standard mirrors look out of place like insect antenna's  :\

PieEater.

Here's a picture of mine fitted with mirrors from a Kawasaki GT550. I used the mirror mount on the brake res and got a universal mirror clamp for the N/S off fleabay. Re the mirrors, don't get cheapo ones as they are all but useless at anything over walking speed.

Can't remember off hand where the blanking plates came from without delving through lots of reciepts. But there's shed loads out there if you do a google search.

The horns I got seperately and added.
