Rectifiers
« on: 05 November 2017, 03:55:31 pm »
Just bought a 2006 fz6 and have been going over everything on it. I have found the rectifier has been changed to a fh010ba. Is this a comman upgrade to these bikes? Also is it possible to buy the connectors plugs for this recticfier as whoever installed the new one has spliced the wiring and just put spade connecters on it.

I'm just wondering if the old one went and the previous owner decided to bodge in a spare from another bike rather than buy a proper replacement!

I think thats what may have happened. All i can see in the bikes history from a garage is "find and repair wiring fault" so it could be that as the rest of the wiring looks ok/untouched. Clearly this replacement rectifier works im just not happy with spade connecters and electical tape! Id rather find the correcr connectors and redo it.

I ordered the correct connectors... but whoever put this rectifer in decided to cut the connector part down where it locks to the connectors ive bought and also when the connectors are on they hit the frame and you cant mount the rectifier so maybe thats why they have used spade connectors. Im just not happy usinh spade connectors
