The Haynes International Motor Museum

Sparkford, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 7LH.

Adult admission £14:50.

Visited this whilst on a short break down west last week.

The car collection is superb. Stunning.

As you might expect, motorbikes are secondary to cars here and you really do require an interest in cars as well as bikes to make the trip worthwhile in my opinion.

The motorcycle section is divided into 2 halves. One side is a comprehensive collection of speedway bikes and the other is mostly British bikes covering pretty much the whole period of manufacture. Very few Japanese bikes. Think I only counted a couple.

Always enjoyed going to this museum, even though has a bias towards 4 wheels. It's got even better since it was revamped a while back.

Is the red room still there..?

There is a bike meet there on Sundays  in the car park at the front , a breakfast meet I think they call it . I went last week & there were a good selection of bike there .
